Job Title: Organic Chemistry Analyst

Job Summary:

The Organic Chemistry Analyst will be responsible for developing, validating, and performing analytical methods to identify, quantify, and characterize organic compounds in sample matrices. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of industry-specific quality standards.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform routine and non-routine analyses using techniques such as GC, HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, and IR spectroscopy, Karl Fischer, Melting Point, FTIR instrumentation.
  • Develop new analytical methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Follows all company safety practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Working closely with the Laboratory Manager and Quality team, resolve technical customer inquiries or complaints.
  • Update databases and inventory for chemicals and reagents.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in in Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or similar related field
  • 2-5 years of experience as an organic chemist or laboratory role within a chemical, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong understanding of organic reaction mechanisms and compound behavior.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a methodical and logical approach
  • Bilingual French and English (written and spoken).
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented

Résumé du poste

Le chimiste analytique organique sera responsable du développement, de la validation et de la mise en œuvre de méthodes analytiques permettant d'identifier, de quantifier et de caractériser les composés organiques dans diverses matrices d'échantillons. Ce poste exige de solides compétences analytiques, une grande attention aux détails et une compréhension approfondie des normes de qualité propres à l'industrie.

Responsabilités:

  • Effectuer des analyses de routine et hors routine à l'aide de techniques telles que GC, HPLC, LC-MS, RMN, spectroscopie IR, Karl Fischer, point de fusion et instrumentation FTIR.
  • Développer de nouvelles méthodes analytiques pour améliorer l'efficacité, la productivité et la qualité.
  • Respecter toutes les pratiques, politiques et procédures de sécurité de l'entreprise.
  • Assurer l'entretien, l'étalonnage des instruments analytiques et résoudre les problèmes techniques.
  • Collaborer étroitement avec le responsable du laboratoire et l'équipe qualité pour résoudre les demandes ou plaintes techniques des clients.
  • Mettre à jour les bases de données et les inventaires de produits chimiques et de réactifs.

Exigences du poste :

  • Diplôme de baccalauréat en chimie organique, chimie analytique ou domaine connexe.
  • 2 à 5 ans d'expérience en tant que chimiste organique ou dans un rôle de laboratoire au sein d'une industrie chimique, pharmaceutique ou manufacturière connexe.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et orale pour interagir avec les clients et les équipes internes.
  • Solide compréhension des mécanismes de réaction organique et du comportement des composés.
  • Excellentes capacités de résolution de problèmes avec une approche méthodique et logique.
  • Bilingue français et anglais (écrit et parlé).
  • Bonnes competences organisationnelles.
  • Souci du detail.

Job Type: Temps plein

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
