Our company

Nonna Lia is a fast-growing Italian eating establishment catered to savvy customers with a premium taste. Over the past 4 years, our team has expanded to more than 25 people, with products sold in 10 locations across the GTA.

We have recently hired an executive chef who has previously worked in fine dining destinations around the globe to kickstart a series of exciting projects, which include: handmade pastas, Focaccia sandwiches, and an innovative 7-course tasting menu.

Your opportunity

We are seeking a passionate Line/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will work directly with our Head Chef and Sous Chef taking a leading role in preparing and assembling our sandwiches and toppings. You will do great if you:

You responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and maintain a wide range of hot and cold ingredients
  • Assemble sandwiches and plate dishes in line with our company's guidelines
  • Ensure consistency in taste, appearance, and portioning
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station
  • Follow all health and safety standards and procedures
  • Adhere to Nonna Lia's recipes, preparation methods, and presentation guidelines
  • Support with kitchen duties related to cleaning, tidying up, and organization
  • Assist with inventory storage, counting, and monitoring
  • Work closely and effectively with other team members and supervisors
  • As needed, support with administrative and fulfillment tasks (e.g. order packing, deliveries, wholesale requests)
