Company Description

NGT Energy (NGTE) is seeking a Junior/Intermediate Project Coordinator—this is an internship opportunity for students and recent graduates. The project is in the Oil & Gas industry sector for the design and fabrication of specialized measurement instrumentation. NGTE is an emerging technology SME private company based in Edmonton.

Type of Employment

Fixed-term contract: 100-hours intern position. For University/College students or recent graduates.

Work Model

Based in Edmonton (Alberta, Canada), Fully Remote

Main Duties

  • Monitor and report on project progress, potential issues, and status to the project manager and other stakeholders, and report key metrics to the project manager.
  • Development of standard operating procedures.
  • Organizing reports, invoices, contracts, and other financial files for easy access
  • Serve as a key communication link among team members, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track the completion of tasks, assign responsibilities, and help resolve bottlenecks.
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting outcomes.
  • Liaise with vendors and the material management department regarding the status of purchased items and invoices.

Required:

  • The holder must be part of a business-related career, or just recently graduated.
  • Must be able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Have strong teamwork skills and be flexible.
  • Be able to work remotely and under pressure.
  • Be rigorous, curious, resourceful, autonomous, enthusiastic, and diligent.
  • Be fluent in English.

Experience in the below areas would be considered an asset:

  • Knowledge in CSA and UL standards.
  • Proficient with computer applications like Adobe, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project (or similar planning software).
  • A general knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Fluency in French and/or Spanish would be an asset.

Salary:

  • Terms under the FIRST Jobs by Technology Alberta program. Paid internship role.
