Your Responsibilities
As a
Forestry Sales Consultant
for
John Deere Construction and Forestry
serving
Western Canada
, you will serve as the primary territory lead working with dealers to engage key customers, drive the sales of whole goods and attachments, and support local/regional events and associations.
In Addition, You Will
- Collaborate with dealer sales personnel to assist with the sales process, aligning solutions to applications and demonstrating equipment solution value to drive sales growth.
- Act as lead within the assigned territory to implement tactical initiatives with products and solutions.
- Arrange and assist in execution of product, application, and sales process training with dealers.
- Assist in developing skills and expertise of dealer sales and support personnel.
- Assist as needed with equipment setup and delivery processes.
What Skills You Need
- 3+ years in Forestry industry with sales and marketing experience
- Demonstrated field experience, assisting sales and support personnel within a dealer network
- Demonstrated knowledge of the forest products industry, specifically businesses within the logging sector
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Ability to travel up to 75% - mostly within the assigned territory to work with dealers and visit customers, sometimes on short notice or weekends
Some travel outside of Canada will be required
What Makes You Stand Out
- High level understanding of the Forestry industry and products
- Field experience with regular customer contact and knowledge of dealer/distribution networks
- Understanding of various forestry applications and their various requirements
- Proven ability to influence without authority in working with dealers and customers
- Technical aptitude for forestry machine setup, tuning, and demonstration
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Business Management, Marketing, or Engineering)
