Practice Lead (Digital Workplace)
to support the strategic development of the incredible platforms we build for our clients, including next-generation, AI-augmented digital workplaces powered by the latest Microsoft 365 and Copilot agent technologies.

With the rapid adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot, agents, and AI-powered automation, the "digital workplace" for our clients is evolving, it's no longer just about collaboration tools, but about embedding intelligence into everyday workflows, content creation, knowledge work, and enterprise processes. The Practice Lead will help clients navigate this shift, not only architecting platforms, but guiding adoption of AI-first tools, building agent-enabled workflows, and establishing governance, compliance, and long-term strategy.

Reporting to the
Technical Partner
, this role will hold a key responsibility in developing and growing our Microsoft 365 business within Punchcard, working with clients to create and transform their workplaces using digital platforms. The PLDW will function as a technical lead on assigned projects, provide researched strategic guidance, AI adoption expertise, align projects with business requirements, scope, and budget, help a team of specialists implement solutions, train, and support end users, as well as be responsible for financial and productivity targets associated with this emerging practice.

What We Need You To Do
In the course of your work, you'll use different skills to advance your projects:

Business Growth and Client Engagement

  • Manage towards and achieve sales, revenue, and operational targets.
  • Support marketing activity through opportunities to present Punchcard as a thought-leader, through blog posts, content development, presentations, and workshops.
  • Support business development through project shaping, relationship development, demonstrations, and proposal development.
  • Explore new ways to generate revenue through project and product development at Punchcard.
  • Engage directly with our client services teams to provide the expertise and talent necessary to pitch our engagement to clients
  • Collaborate with client leadership to understand the most pressing challenges and opportunities our clients face, use this inform teams on strategies and approaches for experience led services and their relevant application to their client
  • Inform and decide upon client pursuit strategies, including qualification and investments
  • Support, sponsor, and oversee key client delivery engagements to drive positive outcomes and long-term relationships

Practice and Competency Development

  • Evolve and build upon the methodologies and skills necessary to engage our clients as leaders in developing digital products
  • Create strong relationships with the team, clients and possibly several stakeholders.
  • Define and grow a SharePoint-oriented implementation practice that provides innovative and usable solutions.
  • Helping recruit, train, and mentor team members to grow our team.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to help solution specialists deliver successful results.
  • Keep abreast of relevant industry certifications and accreditations as aligned with key practices and technology partners.
  • Introduce and onboard clients to partner platforms, such as Orchestry, to facilitate standard practice and application management for Microsoft 365.
  • Ensuring process is followed or adapted as appropriate.

Client and Project Engagement

  • Work with stakeholders to create service designs that detail project requirements and deliverables.
  • Define documentation including structure, design, build, and operations guides, as well as management processes and procedures.
  • Design facilitation and training workshops for clients.
  • Conduct user interviews and workplace analysis to identify processes, needs, and business requirements.
  • Create stakeholder and implementation team alignment through well defined requirements.
  • Document and present implementation roadmaps.
  • Ensure solutions adequately address requirements and align with existing or proposed business processes.
  • Identify and establish core offerings that improve time to delivery.
  • Oversee content migration into SharePoint sites with migration tools or manual procedures.
  • Oversee testing of SharePoint and Teams sites or components throughout set up and migration.
  • Lead development of user guides and training material for various aspects of SharePoint and Teams administration.
  • Lead facilitation of training and workshops for clients and stakeholders.

Managed Service Support

  • Assist in management of incoming support requests related to SharePoint and Teams administration.
  • Contribute to technical support for SharePoint users, as required.

Skills We Expect You To Bring

  • Demonstrate specific knowledge of the function and makeup of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working as a subject matter expert in the Microsoft Technology stack
  • Experience growing a practice
  • Experience managing a team is a plus.
  • A demonstrated ability to pitch and present new product ideas and change in product/process strategy to senior management.
  • Microsoft Certifications will be beneficial e.g. Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate
  • Experience in Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or similar products is an asset.
  • Experience using migration tools as well as custom scripts to migrate and populate content into SharePoint
  • Experience with SharePoint migration and governance platforms, like AvePoint or Orchestry, is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with a wide range of clients, both internal and external, from technical to non-technical, including presentation skills and technical documentation
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to successfully manage multiple responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through
  • Background in startup desirable.
