Requirements:

  • 2+ years Experience in face to face customer service.
  • Barista experience an asset but not a requirement.
  • Familiar with cakes, cupcakes, sweets and savories of all types.
  • Ability to be a critical thinker and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Ability to work with and provide service to multiple personality types.
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Willingness to provide thorough details and clearly describe our products to our customers, including ingredients and how items are made.
  • Work alongside your team to keep the bakery clean, and contribute to a great customer experience.
  • Exceptional hygiene and cleanliness. Clean shaven, well groomed, hair clean pulled back, clean hands and finger nails.
  • Food Safety Certification Level 1 (or willingness to obtain before hire)

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuous standing/walking for all tasks
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 22 kg
  • Frequent turning and reaching
  • Handling HOT items and being around hot pieces of equipment
  • Occasional pushing, pulling and some forward bending
  • Ability to lift at least 2.5 kg to a height of 1.7 metres
  • Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful gripping
