Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to an individual in a home environment. The ideal candidate will have had at least two years of experience with seniors or individuals with limited mobility. Living near or within the community of Orangeville is necessary. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized caregiving and support.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Support clients with activities that promote independence and well-being
  • Communicate effectively with family members

Qualifications

  • Experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care required
  • Knowledge of patient care and working with people with disabilities is advantageous
  • Ability to perform caregiving duties such as medication administration, meal preparation
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • 2025 Covid and flu vaccines are mandatory
