Name And Description Of The Hiring Department
The Financial Results and Reports Associate is responsible preparing, processing, and validating payroll in compliance with laws and regulations. They ensure the integrity of financial data for Bell and its subsidiaries' internal and regulatory reports. The assistant collects, analyzes, and reconciles financial data, ensures its accuracy and completeness, responds to inquiries, and provides support on financial tools.
Job Duties / Accountabilities
- Data Validation, ensure the validity of data from various sources entered into SAP
- Preparation of Financial Entries, compile and validate data to generate entries for recording financial transactions
- Account Reconciliation, prepare and analyze general ledger account reconciliations to justify balances and explain discrepancies
- Data Analysis and Resolution, research and analyze data using basic accounting principles, provide explanations and information to internal and external parties, and take appropriate corrective actions
- Financial Reporting, produce financial reports and spreadsheets for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and government agencies
- Invoice Processing, process invoices by assigning the appropriate GL (General Ledger) code and cost center, and route them for approval
- Problem Resolution and Guidance, determine and implement required actions, including providing advice and recommendations to internal and external parties such as suppliers, AMDOCS, and government agencies
- Data Integrity, take necessary steps to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data used for financial information and reporting
- Compliance, implement all necessary measures to ensure compliance with established controls
Essential Qualifications / Competencies
Knowledge of English and French required (read, spoken and written)
In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada
Effective and professional verbal and written communication
- Good knowledge of SAP software
- MS Excel intermediate (validation test will be given)
- MS Word intermediate
- MS Power Point intermediate
- MS Outlook intermediate
- Excellent ability to manage priorities, meet tight deadlines, and handle stress in a dynamic environment
- Recognized for discretion and respect for confidential information
- Recognized for the ability to work independently or in a team as needed, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail to ensure information accuracy for clients
- Ability to identify obstacles, take appropriate actions, show initiative and judgment, and propose solutions and process improvements
Working Conditions
- Regular business hours based on operational needs, occasional overtime
- Must be available and flexible
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
