Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety across various facilities, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for clients and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to handle cleaning equipment efficiently. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and customer service are highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in commercial or facility spaces
  • Use hand tools and power tools to assist with cleaning tasks and minor maintenance repairs
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and other custodial machinery safely and effectively
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas according to established standards
  • Manage supplies inventory and notify management when stock needs replenishing
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all cleaning activities
  • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support the overall upkeep of the premises
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing any cleaning concerns promptly and professionally
  • Heavy lifting may be required when moving furniture or equipment; proper techniques should be used to prevent injury

Skills

  • Experience with custodial or commercial cleaning preferred; training available for those new to the field
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic facilities maintenance techniques
  • Strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety standards
  • Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks requiring stamina and strength
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and responding to client needs
  • Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues
