WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here's what you can expect on a typical day:
- Support development and testing of mainframe applications
- Perform enhancements and modifications to existing batch processing and online applications
- Work with Product owners to understand the requirements for new features.
- Work with Quality Assurance (QA) members to communicate testing impacts and fix the defects reported
- Work on reported defects, help triaging and finding out root cause and fix the defects with high quality
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
- 10+ years of COBOL and mainframe application development, including JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, MVS utilities, and Mainframe SAS
- Strong Agile software development experience
- Experience with web services, API development, and object-oriented design (asset)
- Experience collaborating with remote/international teams
- Excellent communication skills and ability to proactively resolve issues
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision; fast learner with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, triage, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Unit testing experience
