Role Overview
As our Hydraulic Assembly & Shipping Technician, you'll wear multiple hats: building and assembling hydraulic components, managing inventory, packing and preparing orders for shipment, and supporting day-to-day warehouse operations. You'll be a key part of ensuring quality and timeliness in our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble hydraulic components, valves, pumps, and related parts according to specifications and blueprints
- Test components for leaks, pressure tolerances, function, quality control
- Package, label, and ship orders; prepare documentation
- Maintain inventory, track stock levels, and assist in receiving new materials
- Operate warehouse equipment safely (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production and shipping deadlines
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly, hydraulics, or a related trade is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with hydraulic components is an asset
- Experience in shipping/receiving, packaging, inventory control
- Ability to read technical drawings or schematics
- Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as part of regular duties
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Dependability, good communication skills, ability to work in a small-business environment
