The Ecommerce Manager is responsible for the performance, optimization, and day-to-day operations of our online store, owning the levers that drive revenue growth and delivering a seamless, high-converting customer experience.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and highly collaborative, with a deep understanding of best-in-class digital commerce practices. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, are obsessed with conversion, and know how to translate insights into meaningful improvements that elevate the customer journey.
Responsibilities
Ecommerce Performance, Site Operations & Optimization
- Own daily ecommerce operations and overall site performance, ensuring a seamless, high-converting experience across all devices.
- Drive revenue growth, margin performance, and profitability by actively managing key KPIs (traffic, conversion rate, AOV, revenue, margin, ATC rate, checkout rate).
- Optimize critical conversion levers including navigation, product discovery, browse/shopability, load speed, and site uptime.
- Lead onsite promotional execution, QA, A/B testing, and post-launch optimization to ensure accuracy and impact.
- Partner with UX/design, development, and platform teams to prioritize enhancements, manage backlogs, deploy new features, and deliver a best-in-class site experience.
Merchandising Strategy & Product Management
- Oversee digital assortment, pricing accuracy, promotions, product categorization, and on-site merchandising.
- Ensure product content (copy, attributes, imagery) is complete, compelling, and conversion-focused.
- Manage seasonal refreshes, landing pages, navigation updates, and evergreen content to keep the site fresh and engaging.
Insights & Reporting
- Monitor site performance and customer behavior to identify risks, opportunities, and friction points, providing clear recommendations to improve business outcomes.
- Translate data into actionable insights that drive both business performance and customer experience enhancements.
- Create and present ecommerce reports highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for leadership.
Technology, Operations & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as the business owner of the ecommerce ecosystem and collaborate with development and UX teams to ensure smooth deployment of enhancements, new features, and platform updates.
- Partner with Merchandising, Brand Marketing, Performance Media, CRM, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure flawless execution of campaigns, product launches, and ongoing site operations.
- Act as the connective tissue across teams, aligning on timelines, deliverables, and digital readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Administration, Management, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in ecommerce and/or retail buying as well as an understanding of Online Merchandising.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify or other major ecommerce platforms.
- Proven track record of driving e-commerce growth and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs and digital analytics (Google Analytics/GA4, Looker, or similar).
- Collaborative team player with excellent cross-functional communication skills; able to influence without authority.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in fashion, retail, DTC, or consumer brands is a strong asset.
