Join us, be part of more.
We're so much more than an energy company. We're a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. We're energisers. One team of 21,000 colleagues that's energising a greener, fairer future by creating an energy system that doesn't rely on fossil fuels, whilst living our powerful commitment to igniting positive change in our communities. Here, you can find more purpose, more passion, and more potential. That's why working here is #MoreThanACareer. We do energy differently - we do it all. We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.
An opportunity to play your part - At Centrica Technology, the Head of Supply Chain Technology leads the charge in shaping and delivering the systems that power our supply chain from ERP and WMS to procurement, fleet, and metering operations. This role is all about ensuring our tech ecosystem is strategically aligned, cost-effective, and built to support both today's operations and tomorrow's ambitions. You'll own the full lifecycle of our supply chain systems, manage vendor relationships, and drive long-term architectural thinking in partnership with enterprise architects.
But it's not just about systems it's about impact. You'll work closely with supply chain and operations leaders to embed a product-led mindset, ensuring every initiative delivers real business value. Whether it's improving visibility, boosting efficiency, or enabling smarter decision-making, your work will help us stay agile, responsive, and ready for what's next.
Location: UK-based hybrid role, typically requiring 1 to 2 days in the office per month, or as needed.
The Day to Day:
- Lead the full spectrum of development and operations across our supply chain tech stack including ERP, WMS, procurement, fleet, metering, and parts management — ensuring everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and with strategic intent.
- Define and deliver a transparent, value-driven roadmap that aligns technology initiatives with business priorities, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Own vendor relationships, licensing, and total cost of ownership, ensuring our systems are cost-effective and deliver strong service performance.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise to drive real-world operational outcomes.
- Champion a product-led culture across the supply chain tech space, embedding agile ways of working and a focus on measurable business value.
- Track and communicate the impact of technology initiatives — from adoption and speed-to-market to stakeholder satisfaction and operational efficiency.
What we need from you:
- Lead with technical confidence, bringing a strong foundation in areas like D365, cloud computing, integration patterns, and cybersecurity to guide smart architectural and design decisions.
- Champion a product-led mindset, blending strategic thinking with hands-on technical insight to align technology with real business value.
- Inspire and develop high-performing teams by fostering T-shaped skills and creating a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
- Communicate with clarity and impact, building strong relationships across the business and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Drive commercial value by understanding Centrica's strategic goals, customer needs, and the broader market landscape to inform decision-making.
- Navigate change with confidence, managing transformation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering outcomes that move the business forward.
What's in it for you?
- Enjoy a generous market salary, along with fantastic growth opportunities and a vibrant work environment
- Added Car Allowance program to make your commute and adventures even better.
- Power up your pay with a 15% Employee Energy Allowance, surpassing the government's price cap
- Secure your future with our comprehensive pension plan, designed for peace of mind.
- Elevate your health with our fully-funded company healthcare plan, prioritizing your well-being.
- Recharge with a generous 25-day holiday allowance, plus public holidays, and even purchase up to 5 extra days for extended relaxation
