Plasman Windsor 1 Manufacturing is currently seeking a new member to join our
SUPPLY CHAIN
team as a

MATERIALS MANAGER
This role in responsible for overseeing and optimizing the flow of materials within our organization. This individual will ensure the efficient procurement, storage, and distribution of materials, while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness, aligning with our vision for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire materials management process including purchasing, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Develop and implement materials strategies to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain and support production schedules.
  • Maintain a robust vendor relationship management system to ensure quality and cost-control.
  • Forecast inventory needs and perform data analysis to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, finance, and quality assurance to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards related to materials handling and storage.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the materials management process.
  • Ensure a personal and associate awareness of all quality and business-related operating systems (ISO/IATF).

Qualifications, Skills and Experience We're Looking For

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in a Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; a combination of education, training and years working experience will be considered. Bachelor's degree in
  • 5+ years of experience in materials management or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of managing a highly efficient materials management process in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work with complex data sets.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems and proficiency in relevant tools and software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
