On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for an IT Project Analyst - Intermediate Level for a 1-year contract role. This position is an onsite position at our client's Edmonton office.

IT Project Analyst - Intermediate Level - Job Description:
The Intermediate IT Project Analyst will support the successful delivery of IT initiatives within the Refinery. This role is critical for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring alignment with operational goals and industry standards.

IT Project Analyst - Intermediate Level - Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business units to gather and document IT project requirements.
  • Facilitate the end-to-end delivery of IT solutions from ideation through to deployment and support.
  • Liaise with global support teams, vendors, and managed services providers.
  • Support planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects related to field automation and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Analyze workflows and data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in managing Agile ceremonies, project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Prepare project documentation including business cases and test plans.
  • Support change management and training efforts during system implementations.

IT Project Analyst - Intermediate Level - Mandatory Skills:

  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Data Center processes and technology.
  • Experience in end-to-end delivery of IT solutions.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • 2–5 years of experience in IT project coordination or business analysis.
  • Familiarity with IT Infrastructure and Data Center processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.

IT Project Analyst - Intermediate Level – Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • PMP, CAPM, or PMI-ACP certification.
  • CBAP or equivalent business analysis certification.
  • ITIL Foundation or other IT service management credentials.
  • Experience in the oil and gas or industrial sectors.
