Duties

  • Measure and cut roofing materials using hand tools and blueprint specifications
  • Install various roofing systems including shingles, metal, and flat roofs
  • Repair or replace damaged roofing components efficiently and safely
  • Use caulking to seal joints and prevent leaks
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and metal sheets
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper installation procedures
  • Maintain a clean work site by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
  • Assist with other construction tasks as needed, applying carpentry skills when necessary
  • Follow safety protocols at all times to minimize risks during roofing projects

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with hand tools, construction, carpentry, and caulking
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading for accurate material measurement and placement
  • Maintenance Person experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various tasks
  • Strong physical stamina with the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Prior experience in roofing or related construction fields preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
