The Application Manager primarily takes on the management of Workforce TeleStaff, a sophisticated scheduling application for all MHS companies and key projects with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope. Responsibilities include the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.The Application Manager will also provide oversight and management for the occurrence management software, Resolver; providing support and technical advice for all MHS companies.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead governance and lifecycle management of Workforce TeleStaff and Resolver applications;
  • Develop and maintain governance structures for shared applications (including iTacit and Articulate);
  • Manage application-related projects from planning through execution;
  • Lead change management and configuration processes to ensure accuracy and consistency;
  • Analyze change requests and determine optimal implementation strategies.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support to Application Leads across MHS;
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners;
  • Liaise with Medavie Operating Companies to align application processes with policies and collective agreements;
  • Design and lead training programs for Application Leads.
  • Establish best practices in project management and application use.
  • Continuously improve scheduling, eLearning, and operational workflows.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field;
  • PMP certification or equivalent experience;
  • Eight years' experience in a progressively responsible leadership position;
  • Five years' experience in people management, strategic planning, financial planning, risk management and change management;
  • Two years' experience in project management related activities;
  • Experience in multi-union environments and navigating collective agreements;
  • Proficiency in Workforce TeleStaff, LMS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities;
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and application configuration.
