Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team We currently have a Full-Time opportunity for a Salesforce Data Cloud Developer. This role can be based out of one our main offices including: Mississauga, ON; Stellarton, Dartmouth, Halifax NS.
Key Requirements of Successful Candidate
- Technical Implementation: Build, configure, and deploy scalable solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Data Cloud platforms. Translate functional requirements into clean, efficient code and automation.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Builds strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders by understanding their needs, maintaining open communication, and providing timely updates.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Anticipates challenges and identifies opportunities for improvement, offering innovative solutions rather than waiting for direction.
- Service Orientation: Demonstrates a commitment to delivering value and exceptional service to stakeholders, ensuring their goals are met effectively.
- Clear Communication: Translates technical concepts into business-friendly language and ensures stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
- Solution Design Collaboration: Partner with Solution Architects and Analysts to validate technical feasibility, refine specifications, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Platform Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of Salesforce capabilities, limitations, and integration patterns leveraging platform features to optimize performance and usability.
- Issue Resolution & Debugging: Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, and integration errors with speed and precision.
- Documentation & Reusability: Create and maintain technical documentation, reusable components, and deployment guides to support long-term maintainability.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with Scrum Masters, Technical Leads, and other developers to ensure smooth handoffs, shared standards, and coordinated delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct peer reviews, unit testing, and participate in QA cycles to ensure high-quality, production-ready code.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, new features, and best practices bringing innovation and efficiency to the team.
- Create unit tests documentprior to production and review with Sr/Developer.
Required Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (Customer Data Platform), including:
- Data ingestion and mapping using Salesforce Ingestion APIs.
- Building and managing Data Model Objects (DMOs) and Data Lake Objects.
- Implementing Identity Resolution (IDR) for unified customer profiles.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
- ETL/ELT pipeline development using tools such as MuleSoft, Informatica, or native Salesforce connectors.
- Expertise in Calculated Insights, Segmentation logic, and audience activation.
- Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce declarative tools.
- API integration experience (REST/SOAP) for connecting external systems.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD practices.
- Salesforce certifications highly preferred:
- Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant
- Platform Developer I
- Bonus: Experience with AI-driven features (Einstein, Copilot) and real-time data activation across marketing channels.
