Senior Financial Analyst
Toronto, ON - Onsite (5 days/week)
$95,000–$105,000 base + bonus + benefits
A global real estate investment firm is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Corporate Finance group. This role supports financial reporting, consolidations, investment onboarding, liquidity planning, and audit oversight for a growing North American real estate portfolio. You'll also provide leadership and direction to an offshore accounting team.
This opportunity is ideal for a CPA with a Big 4 audit background (strongly preferred) and experience in industry, ideally within real estate, fund accounting, or complex multi-entity environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Review monthly operator reporting packages to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding of investments, including closing documentation, fund flows, and structure review
- Enhance and standardize intercompany processes (confirmations, reconciliations, and eliminations)
- Prepare and submit IFRS-based reporting packages, lender deliverables, and supporting financial schedules
- Lead SOX testing procedures and collaborate with external auditors for quarterly and annual audits
- Support the consolidation and analysis of forecasts, budgets, and multi-statement business plans
- Partner with portfolio management teams to monitor liquidity, assess capital needs, and support financing activities
- Engage with the capital markets team on financing/refinancing initiatives
- Train, develop, and oversee the performance of an offshore team of finance professionals
Qualifications
- CPA designation (preferred)
- Preferably 3+ years of progressive experience combining public accounting and industry
- Experience in real estate, fund accounting, or large multi-entity complex structures is a strong asset
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, consolidations, and financial reporting
- Demonstrated progression, adaptability, and ability to excel in dynamic environments
- Advanced Excel skills; exposure to systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Yardi, or OneStream is beneficial
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
