Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and resolving various vehicle issues. You will be responsible for ensuring that our customers' vehicles are safe, reliable, and performing at their best. Your expertise will contribute to our commitment to providing exceptional service and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repair and replace automotive components such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs efficiently.
- Work with schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive systems, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's condition and repair needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards.
Experience
- Previous mechanic experience is required; dealership experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques, including diesel engine repair and powertrain systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on GM vehicles preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and auto body repair is advantageous.
- Experience with welding is beneficial for certain repair tasks.
- Ability to perform alignments and other specialized services as needed.
