Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage reservations and guest flow efficiently. Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. The Host/Host will play a vital role in creating a memorable experience for all guests and supporting smooth restaurant operations.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists or reservations using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, answering any initial questions about the menu or restaurant policies
  • Manage guest seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining excellent customer service standards
  • Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, making reservations and providing information as needed
  • Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
  • Assist with guest inquiries, feedback, or concerns promptly and courteously
  • Support other front-of-house duties as needed to ensure a seamless dining experience

Experience

  • Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is highly desirable
  • Restaurant experience, especially familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms, is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette are essential
  • Customer service experience demonstrating the ability to handle diverse guest interactions with professionalism
  • Experience in food service or hotel environments is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is valued highly
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and positive attitude

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 17.20 – 20 per week
