SAP Solution Architect
for an exciting opportunity with one of our Fortune 500 clients. based in
Montreal, QC.

Role: SAP Solution Architect – S/4HANA Migration

Work Location: Montreal, QC

Job Summary

The SAP Solution Architect leads end‑to‑end release planning, orchestration, and governance for SAP S/4HANA migration programs. Develop Solutions: Create detailed SAP solution architectures aligned with business goals and IT strategies. Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and adherence to industry best practices.. Offer technical leadership and guidance to SAP development and implementation teams. Conduct Reviews: Perform regular reviews and quality checks on design and implementation work

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Brownfield Conversion Projects:

  • Define conversion strategy, roadmap, and timelines.
  • Assess existing ECC landscape and design target S/4HANA architecture.

System Analysis & Planning:

  • Conduct readiness checks and impact analysis using SAP tools (SUM, DMO, Readiness Check).
  • Identify custom code remediation and simplification items.

Technical Execution:

  • Oversee system conversion using SAP Software Update Manager (SUM) with Database Migration Option (DMO).
  • Manage data migration, downtime optimization, and system validation.
  • Manage & Govern Custom Code Remediation
  • Manage & govern Simplification

Integration & Interfaces:

  • Ensure compatibility of existing interfaces and third-party systems.
  • Plan and execute necessary adjustments for middleware and APIs.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with functional teams, BASIS, and business stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance on best practices and risk mitigation.

Performance & Security:

  • Validate system performance post-conversion.
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture and conversion tools.
  • Hands-on experience with SUM/DMO, SPDD/SPAU, and Custom Code Migration
  • Minimum 8+ years in SAP technical roles, with at least 2 full Brownfield Conversion projects
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA database administration and optimization.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • SAP Certified Technology Architect or SAP S/4HANA Conversion Specialist.
  • Experience with Downtime Optimization techniques and Near-Zero Downtime (NZDT).
  • Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.
