A.S.P provide services to some of the largest airports in Canada and has a significant presence in the Commercial and Residential spaces in Ontario and Alberta.
A.S.P.'s Canine Explosive Dog Detection (EDD) Services is the largest private canine EDD service in Canada. We provide a global solution to local needs and an effective solution to the detection of explosives and explosive trace elements. A.S.P. is looking for a Canine Security Specialist, responsible for Canine Explosives Detection searches and sweeps of office buildings, arenas and stadiums, conference centres, airport facilities, vehicles, aircraft, and any other locations as required. Responsible for maintaining a high level of training and readiness, our Canine Security Specialists handle threats and emergencies with integrity, respect, and responsibility.
What you will do:
- Maintain a high level of training and readiness to respond to suspicious packages, unattended vehicles, facility sweeps, or other situations where the services of explosives detection canines are required;
- Responsible for the 24-hour housing, care, well-being of their assigned dogs;
- Carry out security duties includes working indoors and outdoors under all different conditions;
- Work indoors and outdoors as required;
- Be flexible & willing to work in unpredictable, and often last-minute canine service requests;
- Daily training on explosives detection and maintenance records complying with Federal Regulations.
Who you are:·
- Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education;
- Eligible to work in Canada;
- Fully bilingual, French and English
- Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office;
- Self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail;
- Excellent written & verbal communication and active listening skills;
- Must Possess a valid Security license, Ontario Drivers License (G or Higher) with a clear a driving abstract and Basic First Aid and CPR certification;
- Must be willing to provide Criminal Record check upon request;
- Security experience an asset.

Vos Responsabilités
• Maintenir un niveau élevé de formation et de préparation pour répondre aux colis suspects, aux véhicules laisse sans surveillance, aux recherches d'installations ou à d'autres situations où les services de canines de détection d'explosifs sont nécessaires
• Responsable du logement jour et nuit, des soins et du bien-être de leurs chiens assignés
• Exécuter des tâches de sécurité qui incluent le travail à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur dans les différentes conditions
• Travailler à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur au besoin
• Soyez flexible et disponible pour travailler souvent de dernière minute, la capacité de travailler des heures supplémentaires et dans les environnements imprévisibles
• Formation quotidienne sur la détection des explosifs et les registres de maintenance pour assurer qu'ils conforment aux réglementations fédérales
Ce que vous apporterez à ce rôle
• Diplôme d'études secondaires ou une formation équivalente à la 12e année
• Bilinguisme (anglais et français) serait nécessaire
• Individu motive et soin apporte aux détails
• Capacité de communiquer efficacement, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit, devant des publics variés
• Possession d'un Permis de Sécurité, Permis de Conduire (G ou plus) avec un dossier de conduire et un certificat de secourisme
• Expérience de l'utilisation de divers logiciels tels que Microsoft Office
• Dispose à fournir une vérification des antécédents judiciaires
• L'expérience au domaine de sécurité serait un atout
