As a property and casualty insurance claims advisor, you help serve and maintain business relationships with members and clients for all claims. You handle high-complexity property insurance claims and investigate and approve claims. You solve problems using your analytical skills and extensive discipline-specific knowledge. You draw on your sound decision-making to develop solutions, negotiate claims settlements and enter into agreements with members, clients, third parties and others. You advise and assist clients, represent Desjardins and enter the organization into important agreements with clients. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. 

More specifically, you will be required to:


•    Conduct investigations and inspections to assess damage, estimate costs and market value, and produce and review reports and other documents to determine settlement amounts

•    Settle claims in accordance with the organization's standards, policies and quality commitments as well as the contract terms. Meet deadlines to ensure client satisfaction and avoid penalties

•    Negotiate with all parties involved to ensure smooth claims processing

What you bring to the table 


•Bachelor's degree in a related field

•A minimum of three years of relevant experience in claims, or construction damage/restoration

•Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

•Candidate must have a valid G Driving license and a company car will be provided
Candidate must be available to travel in the Edmonton region and surrounding area to meet with clients/stakeholders.
