JOB REQUIREMENT

Education: No formal education is required. Basic ability to understand worksite instructions

Experience: No previous experience is required.

Experience in construction, demolition, material handling, or other physically demanding labour roles is an asset. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

Language: Not required

JOB DUTIES

  • Load, unload, and move demolition and construction materials on site
  • Assist in setting up and dismantling scaffolding, temporary barriers, safety fencing, ramps, and debris chutes
  • Help prepare work areas by mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete, gravel, and fill
  • Support the demolition crew in tearing down structures and removing building components
  • Sort, clean, and stack salvaged or reusable materials for proper recycling or disposal
  • Clean up debris, rubble, and hazardous materials in accordance with company safety procedures
  • Assist in containing and cleaning up chemical spills or other contaminants, following WHMIS and safety protocols
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site by removing waste and ensuring pathways remain clear
  • Perform general labour tasks to support demolition, excavation, and site preparation activities as directed by the supervisor

Working setting : Construction, residential and commercial. Various demolition and excavation project sites across the Lower Mainland.

Work conditions:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Physically demanding tasks (standing, bending, crouching)
  • Working outdoors in all weathers
  • Dusty/noisy environment
  • Wearing Personal Protective Equipment
