M&L Scott Farms at Cupar, SK is family-oriented grain operation with a PERMANENT FULL-TIME opening for a committed individual who prides themselves in high-quality work. Together, we will strive for excellence in producing high-quality commercial grain.
Your Role:
driving semi, pulling both grain and water trailers. *Class 1A license required
field work, including but not limited to: swathing, harrowing, land rolling, rock picking, combining, grain carting and more
general facility and yard upkeep
repair & maintenance on a variety of equipment
More Details on the Role:
Operate some or all of the following equipment: semis with grain and water trailers, front wheel assist and articulating four-wheel drive tractors, land roller, rock picker, harrow bar, ProTill, various augers and conveyors, air drill, swathers, combines, grain cart, and much more
Monitor and inspect equipment daily for any signs of wear or malfunction.
Conduct in season maintenance and repairs on all equipment.
Utilize GPS/GIS systems, various equipment management programs, and other technology in full capacity
Perform repairs to equipment throughout the winter in a heated shop that is well stocked
Securely transport grain from various yard sites to inland terminals. Safely operate and maintain all grain transportation equipment
Clear brush piles, stone piles, and other materials
General facility and yard upkeep
Clear snow in winter, as required
Assist in the maintenance of facilities, including bins, grain dryer, shop and outbuildings
Ensure best practices are maintained and all reporting is completed consistently and accurately
Work 8 – 12+ hour shifts, season dependent
Your Experience & Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 seasons of experience with commodity grain operations and a willingness to learn
A valid Class 5 drivers license
A valid Class 1A drivers license
Experience and familiarity with mechanical repairs is preferred
Experience with agriculture-based technology, such as GPS/GIS and various equipment management programs is an asset
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

An ability to work independently for long periods of time
An ability to work in hot, cold, dusty and/or confined environments
An ability to lift at least 50 lbs
