Job Summary

McCoy Cattle Co. is a family run, 300 head cow-calf operation located at Milestone, SK (40 minutes south of Regina). We are looking for a full-time general farm labourer who can assist with the daily duties on our purebred and commercial cattle operation.

We are seeking a dedicated Herder to oversee the care and management of livestock on our farm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding, monitoring, and maintaining the health of animals, ensuring their safety and well-being. This role requires physical stamina, mechanical knowledge, and experience with farm machinery to efficiently perform daily tasks and support the overall productivity of the farm operation.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Daily feeding of livestock
• Operation and maintenance of farm equipment
• Assisting with animal processing, sorting and moving
• Summer duties include: fencing, baling, hauling bales, water management, pasture management

Experience with cattle is not necessary, but is an asset. Individual must be willing to work with others. A valid driver's license is required. This position is physically demanding and the majority of the work is outside in all elements of Saskatchewan weather Wage will be determined based on experience.
