Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to be based remotely out of Canada. This position not only offers you the opportunity to utilize and expand your background in engineering by providing technical support in a professional services environment while also providing a clear path for professional growth. In this role, you will be expected to be able to participate in and eventually lead and host quality assurance audits while also working with project teams on such diverse activities as problem identification and resolution, support during the procurement of engineered products and materials, and self-assessment activities. You will also assist project teams with the development and execution of project quality plans.

Other duties of the position may include managing quality assurance personnel, training employees, controlling purchased items and services, verifying effective corrective action, data analysis and trending, and root cause analysis. The focus of these activities is engineering, design, and consulting. The position may involve approximately 10-15% travel to other company locations and related supplier facilities for audit, surveillance, and/or inspection.

Essential skills and experience:

  • BS or MS from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board-accredited undergraduate program or a US based ABET-accredited program or related academic experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in quality in the nuclear industry or in another regulated industry.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical reasoning.

Valued but not required skills and experience:

  • Working knowledge and understanding of CSA, NQA, and ISO standards.
  • NQA-1 Audit Team Leader Certification.
  • Previous Quality Assurance Manager experience.
  • P.Eng license.
