Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of meal preparation and food safety practices. This position involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, where teamwork and efficiency are essential to delivering high-quality dishes to our guests.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
  • Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and cooking instructions accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Participate in daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in meal preparation or as a cook in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques within the culinary field.
