Equipment Technician

The Equipment Technician is responsible for equipment assembly and repair. They will be responsible for the testing of equipment prior to regional distribution. They will be required to travel to regions to train employees on equipment usage, as well as perform any required testing or repairs as needed. Other general maintenance, repair, manufacturing and assembly duties as assigned while stationed at the Corporate office in Kincardine.
This position at times could require travel within Canada and outside of Canada.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Testing of equipment for distribution to regions
- Performing/maintain QPS certification to equipment
- Performing upgrades to equipment
- Perform high voltage testing
- Cleaning and maintenance of building perimeters
- Report any safety concerns
- Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment
- Minor maintenance and repairs
- Duties in the manufacturing shop as required
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- In-depth knowledge of Superheat equipment and its uses
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
Work Experience and Educational Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a related field an asset
- Previous experience in a related field
- Experience with industrial mechanical and electrical operations
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license with clean record and meet company driving policy requirements
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position
- Able to travel within and outside of Canada
