The Controls Technician is responsible for supporting many different areas of the company including regional shops, field projects, and the SmartCenter™ Control Room. They are required to provide strong troubleshooting direction and document any issues the company may have. The Controls Technicians will be responsible for equipment upgrades, repair, development and calibrations. Responsibilities Provide technical support for all field services Assist with testing of all equipment in regional shops Ensure all equipment meets Superheat’s quality assurance program specifications Perform calibrations on all equipment in accordance with quality assurance requirements Perform inspection, test and calibration of newly built equipment Perform maintenance and repairs on pink tagged equipment at the corporate location Maintain tasks and projects assigned to the controls department Maintain accuracy of assets in the asset database Perform upgrades to equipment and computers as required Adapt to changing software and equipment as new releases become available Qualifications Knowledge in computer hardware, software, and networking Knowledge in electrical circuit power flow and ability to troubleshoot Ability to meet deadlines Strong communication skills (oral and written) Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to work shiftwork (including nights and weekends) Ability to pass facility access requirement including background checks and alcohol/drug screening Work Experience and Education Requirements Minimum of 1 year’s work experience in a support role Electrical Technician education or related field Computer Systems Technician education or related field Please note this position requires 12 hour shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
