Position: AutoCAD Technician

Service Sector: Engineering Consulting Services

Location: Head Office in Mississauga

OHE Consultants is looking to hire a qualified candidate for the position of AutoCAD Technician. The AutoCAD Technician will work on drafting-related projects and technical activities at OHE Consultants.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma/GED with at least one year of college/tech school is required
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Proficient in drafting programs including AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced work environment

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares AutoCAD drawings with a high degree of precision and detail, creating a picture of the overall project and detailing it to its various component parts
  • Prepares final drawings using all supporting documentation provided by clients, consultants, engineers, or collected through site visits
  • Identifies and verifies specifications by examining engineering documents; performs all necessary calculations, including dimensions and materials
  • Maintains drawing files
  • Handles multiple demands in an efficient and professional manner

The candidate must show ability to work within a client oriented and fast-paced environment. Required skills include flexibility, adaptability, problem-solving ability, excellent computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi-task as well as the ability to meet tight timelines.
