Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

Monday–Friday 8:30am-5pm with field visits, flexible hours to meet client needs.

Our client located in Ajax, Ontario is currently seeking a Sales Representative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a regional or segment-focused sales plan to meet or exceed revenue targets for refurbished drums and sourcing raw drums.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with manufacturers, distributors, and end users requiring drum reconditioning or removal.
  • Maintain and grow a portfolio of key accounts; conduct regular business reviews, understand customers' supply chains, quality requirements, and sustainability goals.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, quotes, and contracts; negotiate pricing, terms, and service levels.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to ensure feasibility, lead times, capacities, and regulatory/compliance adherence for customer projects.
  • Provide technical guidance on drum types (plastic and steel), reconditioning processes, interior coatings, and safe handling requirements.
  • Manage cross-functional communication to ensure on-time delivery, accurate invoicing, and post-sale support.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records for opportunities, accounts, forecasts, and activities; generate regular

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred; or equivalent sales experience in packaging, plastics, metals, or manufacturing.

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in B2B sales within packaging, circle of industrial supplies, plastics, metals, or recycling/closed-loop services; experience with drums or similar packaging is a strong plus.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and ability to interpret technical specifications for non-technical customers.

Travel: Willingness to travel to customer sites, suppliers, and trade events as needed (percentage of time dependent on role).

Skills: Strong relationship-building, problem-solving, and collaborative teamwork; ability to work cross-functionally with operations, quality, and logistics.

Language: Proficiency in English, with additional languages a plus depending on market.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in drum reconditioning, waste minimization, circular economy programs, or sustainability initiatives.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to drum transport and handling (e.g., transport of hazardous materials if relevant).

Networking and business development in target industries (chemicals, paints, food & beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals).

Work Environment:

Office-based with field visits; some time on customer sites or manufacturing facilities.

Exposure to industrial environments; adherence to safety and PPE requirements as needed.

Use of standard office equipment and CRM tools.

Performance Metrics:

Revenue attainment and new business growth.

New customer acquisition rate and account penetration.

Customer satisfaction.

Activity metrics: calls, meetings, proposals, and opportunities logged in CRM.

Requirements:

Ability to travel as required; ability to drive and visit customer sites.

Valid driver's license; clean driving record
