ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Creative Director at Scarab Digital, you will lead and inspire the design team to produce the highest-quality graphics within time and budget constraints. You will have a deep understanding of the story and aesthetic requirements of each production, providing clear feedback and direction to designers at key approval stages. Beyond leadership, you will actively contribute by conceptualizing, building, and animating graphics—either ahead of the team or stepping in when needed to support production work. In conjunction with the Playback Producer you will attend creative client meetings, collaborate on budgeting hours for motion graphics builds.

Core Responsibilities:
- Hands-on Execution: Step into any project when necessary to assist, refine, or complete designs.
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, Figma, Cinema 4D, and ProtoPie.
- Art Direction & Feedback: Provide clear visual and written direction to the team, often supplemented with quick mockups to illustrate concepts.
- Visual Communication: Quickly translate ideas into sketches, references, or motion tests to guide the team effectively.
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Identify and develop creative solutions on the spot, adapting as conditions change.
- Reference & Inspiration: Maintain a strong library of previous builds and external references to ensure clarity in creative direction.
- Team Leadership: Providing briefings, check-ins, and discussions on departmental priorities.
- Coaching & Development: Create development opportunities and support skills development within the creative team
- Versatility in Style: Maintain a broad design vocabulary across different styles and time periods, seamlessly shifting between them as needed.
- Design & Animation Expertise: Strong skills in graphic design, animation, and illustration.
- High-Pressure Execution: Thrive under tight deadlines, ensuring high-quality work despite constraints
