The Opportunity: The Senior Manager, Content Distribution – Driving the licensing and distribution of Mattel Studios Kids & Family content portfolio across North America, Canada and Latin America.
This role blends strategic deal-making and partner managementto expand reach and maximize revenues across linear TV, VOD (SVOD, AVOD, FAST), and Home Entertainment (EST / Digital Sell-Through). The ideal candidate combines deep territorial expertise in the Americas and a strong understanding of children's entertainment brands and content consumption trends.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Develop and execute distribution strategies for the Kids & Family portfolio across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America, ensuring alignment with brand priorities and regional business objectives.
- Lead and manage key accounts in the Americas including content licensing for multiple windows: Linear TV, VOD (SVOD, AVOD, FAST channels), and Home Entertainment (physical and digital sell-through).
- Identify and pursue new distribution partners in emerging platforms and territories to broaden the brand's footprint.
- Coordinate with global and regional marketing teams to support launch plans and maximize content performance in target markets
- Negotiate and structure content licensing agreements with major broadcasters and digital platforms across the Americas and globally.
- Lead financial modelling, pricing, and term sheet development for all distribution deals; partner with Legal to finalize contracts.
- Manage the entire deal lifecycle: from initial pitch and negotiation through to delivery, compliance, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to forecast revenues and ensure timely reporting of deal performance.
- Stay current with market trends in kids content distribution and gather competitive intelligence on licensing models, release windows, and content performance to inform commercial strategy.
- Cultivate strong relationships with executives at platform partners to secure premium placement, marketing collaboration, and renewal opportunities.
- Represent the content portfolio at trade shows and industry events.
What We're Looking For:
- Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Media, or Communications (advanced degree preferred).
- 5+ years' experience in content distribution/licensing within the media & entertainment industry.
- Proven success licensing kids and family content across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.
- Deep understanding of VOD distribution models (SVOD, AVOD, FAST, PVD) and rights windowing strategies.
- Strong commercial acumen – P&L ownership, financial modelling, pricing and forecasting.
- Excellent negotiation, contract management, and partner relationship skills.
- Ability to travel internationally and work cross-culturally.
