Associate Carrier Representative

SGH LOGISTICS, a rapidly growing logistics company is currently in search of a Associate Carrier Representative to join our team. As a third-party logistics company, our ongoing challenge is establishing new customers while servicing our established ones.

Qualities required: loyalty, honesty, dependability and great sense of humor.

Must have skills and traits we are looking for:

  • Be computer literate and able to learn quickly
  • Be detail oriented and able to prioritize
  • Be a good listener and be good at multitasking
  • Efficient on the phones
  • Fluent in English (written & verbal)
  • Be a team player that is energetic, honest and has a good sense of humour
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Negotiation skills is a definite plus
  • Full on-boarding with complete training will be provided

Daily tasks as an Associate Logistics Specialist (in no order):

  • Quoting / Pricing (Calling our pool of carriers and obtaining rates for our customers)
  • Managing our current accounts
  • Contacting existing accounts for freight / business
  • Booking freight with our sub-contractors

Required skills & experience:

  • Customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines under stress
  • Ability to multitask efficiently

Compensation:

Guaranteed base salary (based on experience) + bonuses

Our office is in the industrial area of Saint Laurent / Dorval (H9P 1K3).
