We are looking for a
Janitorial Manager
for
Hydro Québec
in
East James Bay.
Position
: Janitorial Manager

Location:
East James Bay

  • Ability and willingness to travel or work long rotations away from home.
  • Work schedule of 15 working days, followed by 13 days off
  • During the camp stay, most days are 10 to 12 hours long
  • Transportation is by plane from Bagotville or Rouyn Noranda airport. Aramark will reimburse expenses to the airport.
  • Your meals and accommodation at the camp are provided at no additional cost.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop teams to maximize their contributions by providing evaluation, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Coach employees by ensuring that everyone clearly understands the objectives to be achieved
  • Lead and supervise activities related to camp maintenance.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for customers, consumers, and employees.
  • Train and develop supervisory staff to become future leaders.
  • Perform administrative tasks, participate in scheduling, and support managers.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for customers, consumers, and employees.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment to promote the safety and health of others
  • Clean assigned areas in accordance with Aramark and customer standards and requirements.
  • Comply with established safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in the janitorial sector, including team management.
  • Experience in remote camps is an asset.
  • Must be versatile.
  • Must be able to follow safety procedures and basic precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Must be organized, courteous, sociable, diligent, and able to work in a team.
  • WHMIS certification is an asset.
  • Must be able to respond to operational needs.

Requirements

  • Good physical stamina.
  • Be comfortable with computers and familiar with MS Office, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, consumers, colleagues, and staff.
  • Be organized.
  • Have a positive attitude.
  • Be able to work as part of a team.
