The purposes of this position are:
 To provide assistance in Ojibwe Language instruction, educational programs and other learning activities for children within the policies and procedures established by Chief and Council, Chief Operating Officer and as directed by the Manager of the O'Shkiigmong Early Learning Centre The duties and responsibilities of this position are categorized into three main functions:
 
  1. Educational
Responsible for providing Ojibwe language instruction for O'Shkiigmong Early Learning Centre children and staffResponsible for providing in and out of Day Care learning activities for children and staffResponsible for supervising children on a one on one and group basisResponsible for assisting in the operation of O'Shkiigmong Early Learning Centre facilities.Working with RECE's and Supervisors based on children's interest.  
  1. Physical
Responsible for all manual preparations in regards to outings taking place at Kutang IslandResponsible for preparing a nutritious menu for the summer program at Kutang Island with supervisor's assistance.Responsible for storage and packing of supplies and equipmentResponsible for all health and safety requirements during cultural activitiesResponsible for daily maintenance of boats and island.Responsible for Island grounds and structural maintenance. Teepee fires and maintenance.

EDUCATION:

This is a Full Time Term position beginning immediately for one year. Salary range for this position is $55,619 to $60,563
