Designated Driver team

MyDDride is a designated driving company that drives customers home in their own vehicles. To accomplish this we work in a client/chase driver pair and we are currently looking for teams in the Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley area. Teams don't have to live together but must be in a very close distance to each other. A reliable economical vehicle is a must for the chase driver. The client driver must know how to drive to drive a standard.
Overview
We are seeking reliable and motivated driver teams to join us in providing an alternative solution to drinking and driving. The ideal candidates will be responsible for helping impaired drivers get their vehicles home while allowing those clients to be a passenger in their own vehicle. This job requires excellent communication, customer service and post importantly patience. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to handle changes. The drivers play a crucial role in adhering to road safety while driving various types of vehicles and maintaining positive relationships with our clients.
Responsibilities
- Communicating with clients
- Communicating with dispatch
- Collecting payment from customers after providing service
- travelling between West Vancouver and Chilliwack to pick up and drop off clients that need our service
- Waiting for clients that aren't quite ready to go home yet
- Being on standby and available when clients need to use our service
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers regarding pickup times and any issues that may arise.
- Adhering to the laws and rules while driving
- maintaining professionalism at all times
- providing unbiased customer service while providing service and maintaining patience
Requirements
- Proficient in driving various types of vehicles including but not limited to electric vehicles, large trucks, small cars and sports vehicles
- class 5 BC driver's license with 10+ years of driving experience
- minimum two years driving experience in BC
- 1 driver must be experienced in driving manual transmission vehicles
- fuel efficient vehicle to be used as the chase vehicle to get to and from the pickup locations
- both drivers must be mature and 26 years or older
- Clean driving record with zero infractions
- Clean background
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- cell phone with unlimited tax and a data plan
- Able to handle last minute changes with ease and comfortable being on call
- ability to send and receive e-transfer
- high proficiency in speak and writing english
Compensation
Drivers are paid a % of each trip they complete and tips are split 50/50 between the chase driver and client driver team. Chase drivers get a higher percentage to assist with vehicle operating expenses.
Pay averages out to $22.50-$25.00/hour/driver but is not an hourly paid position
