These Part-time positions within the Association are located at our Sudbury branch. Under the leadership of the Supervisor of Recreation & Day Camp, the Youth Program Instructor is responsible for program planning and delivery to ensure participant satisfaction. The ideal candidate for this position is dynamic, able to work as part of a progressive team, enjoys working with children and youth, and is capable of managing multiple tasks.START DATE: TBD      LOCATION: Durham Street, Sudbury ONRATE OF PAY: $17.60 per hourHOURS: 3-20 per week  SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS Possession of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) preferred *for education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES with their applicationCurrent Standard First Aid and CPR CExperience working/leading group activitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsBilingualism in both official languages considered an assetCurrent and Satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable SectorMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESProgram, plan, and implement activitiesSupervise, engage and participate with the program participants in group activitiesApply behavior management training techniques with the program participantsEnsure the safety of all participants, property, staff and volunteers by established practices and proceduresMaintain the inventory of required supplies and request more when neededCommunicate with parents/guardians on a daily basisBuild relationships with members and guests, and promote the YMCA as a charitable organizationHOW TO APPLYIf you would like to work in a family friendly environment, please apply, by website only, with a cover letter and resume to the attention of: Personnel Committee Please ensure that your cover letter and resume both specify the job title of the position that you are applying for.    All applicants are thanked for their interest in this position.
