JOB SUMMARY:

The Rate and Audit Specialist reports to the Rate & Audit Department Team Lead and is responsible for ensuring accuracy in rates and timeliness of billing requirements as well as providing audit reviews for all customer and carrier orders and invoices.

DUTIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Rate and finalize daily bills accurately and on a timely basis.

· Ensure all accessorial charges (TG, inside, wait time, appointment, heat, 2 person etc.) are verified, applied and billed correctly.

· Identify, combine and rate multiple orders of the same service type while ensuring detailed notes are made in each order.

· Audit all carriers and LTL Rogue order for accuracy and input costs into transportation management system

· Process and rate driver paperwork as per established process.

· Advise management of any ongoing issues with carrier invoices, bills or driver paperwork and work with team members as well as carriers to resolve the issue.

· Assist with quotes as required.

· Respond to carrier and customer inquiries, complaints or questions through phone, e-mail in a courteous, timely and professional manner.

· Maintain copies of all carrier and vendor related contracts and pricing for evaluation purposes.

Invoicing:

· Run report with orders that have not yet been invoiced.

· Work together with the Brokerage, Customer Service or Operations teams when required.

E. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-Secondary Education-College/University diploma or degree
  • 2-5 years' experience in transportation industry is preferred
  • Truckmate experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
