Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the overall customer experience while adhering to food safety standards.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items with precision and care
  • Operate the Micros POS system for efficient order processing and cash handling
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns
  • Maintain cleanliness of the barista station, dining area, and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
  • Assist in food preparation and serving, ensuring all items meet quality standards
  • Manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure timely service without compromising quality
  • Handle cash transactions accurately while following company policies regarding cash handling
  • Uphold food safety practices throughout all aspects of food service

Qualifications

  • Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash register operations
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations is essential
  • Excellent time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
