Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages to customers with precision and care.
  • Operate the Micros POS system for processing transactions efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Assist in food preparation and serving as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Demonstrate time management skills by efficiently managing multiple tasks during peak hours.
  • Uphold food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.

Qualifications

  • Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive experience for patrons.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
