What to expect in the role
REDI Enterprises is currently seeking a permanent, full-time, Supports for Community Living Support Worker in Medicine Hat within our BIRS division. The Supports for Community Living Worker (SCLW) is responsible for supporting individuals with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. This position is responsible for maintaining and promoting the wellbeing, uniqueness, and independence of each individual so that they can achieve their outcomes and goals. With a passion for supporting people with disabilities, you will:
- Deliver proper support to individuals by assisting, implementing and managing person-centered plans
- Supporting individuals to access community resources and services relevant to their needs
- Promote continuous learning and assist with skills development that result in increased independence, self-awareness, self-advocacy, socialization, and community inclusion.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- First Aid – Level C/CPR certificate
- Basic computer literacy that meets the requirements of the specific role and agency/service
- Alberta Class 5 Drivers License
- Minimum 0 to 6 months related experience
- Clean criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector or one that is acceptable to the Executive Director
- A positive attitude and belief that persons with disabilities have the right and responsibility to define and act on their life choices and seek active participation in the community
- An understanding of the opportunities and options available to persons with disabilities, mindful of cultural and ethnic sensitivity
- Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal format
