Job Overview
Champ Machine is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will setup, program and operate CNC lathes and CNC milling machines, to produce precision parts in accordance with required specifications. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC programming, the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings and a willingness to adhere to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate, program and setup CNC lathes and CNC milling machines using Fanuc or Haas controls.
- Write, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs to optimize machining processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and technical drawings to produce accurate parts.
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards.
- Set up machines with appropriate tooling for each job.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on CNC equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety protocols.
- Assist with other manufacturing tasks, such as marking or packaging, as needed within the production environment.
- Operate forklifts when necessary for material handling.
Experience
- Proven experience working with CNC lathes and CNC milling machines.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to machining processes.
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages.
- Familiarity with CAD software, blueprint reading, and technical documentation.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools and precision measurement instruments.
- Additional skills such forklift operation or shipping work processes are considered a plus. This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about precision manufacturing and machining technology to contribute to high-quality production processes in a dynamic environment.
