The Opportunity
Innovate and Lead
– Join our Bridge Group in Alberta and take the lead on designing and delivering transportation projects that shape communities. From highway and pedestrian bridges to retaining walls and unique structures, your expertise will help create safe, sustainable infrastructure for generations to come.

This position is based in
Red Deer, Alberta
. Candidates living locally or open to relocation are encouraged to apply. Relocation support may be available.

Your Impact

  • Deliver conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
  • Lead inspections, assessments, and rehabilitation strategies for existing structures.
  • Provide project coordination and management for standard and major bridge projects.
  • Prepare specifications, tender documents, and cost estimates that guide successful delivery.
  • Review shop drawings and provide technical support during construction phases.
  • Mentor and inspire technical teams to achieve excellence in project delivery.
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to proposal development for future projects.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on bridge structures.
  • Eligible for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licence in Alberta.
  • 10+ years of experience in bridge design and project management for Alberta Transportation or similar jurisdictions.
  • Advanced knowledge of CAN/CSA-S6 design codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as CSIBridge and MIDAS.
  • Expertise in planning, design, and construction of bridges with standard and complex geometry.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to guide teams and manage client relationships effectively.

Compensation
BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT:
$114,600 – $151,800

MB & ON:
$104,500 – $143,900

Atlantic Provinces & QC:
$103,500 – $137,400
