Inbound Sales Representative

The Inbound Sales Represenative (known to CRD as The Managed Account Representative (MAR)) is responsible for inside sales and customer service, focusing on building strong relationships, educating customers on products, and supporting sales growth under the guidance of the Inside Sales Manager.
Key responsibilities include assisting clients in understanding the clinical applications and techniques related to our products, informing them about new products and methods, and sharing details about continuing education opportunities. The MAR may also collaborate with outside partners to effectively manage territories, ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting sales goals.
The position may involve occasional travel, office visits, and limited attendance at seminars, trade shows, or hands-on workshops.
The MAR role is based at our head office in downtown London, Ontario, and reports to the Inside Sales and Customer Service Manager.
1. Deliver Exceptional Customer Service & Build Strong Customer Relationships
- Build trust with customers by understanding the structure of their offices. Knowing customer profiles, key contacts, and the best times to communicate is essential for strong relationships.
- Review monthly KPIs (Average order size, return rate, average outbounds/day, and focus product growth) and results through one-on-one calls with the Inside Sales Manager.
- Travel as needed for in-person meetings to provide sales and customer service support within the region.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of customers and territories. Each MAR manages 4–5 territories.
- Review monthly KPIs and results through one-on-one calls with the Inside Sales Manager.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Advisor in the designated territory to achieve budget goals and support various sales initiatives.
- Inform clients about upcoming seminars, trade shows, and workshops as they become available.
- Provide product knowledge and technical guidance, educating clients to ensure effective use of all products.
- Handle customer inquiries, issues, and product returns professionally and efficiently.
- Process all orders accurately and promptly for managed territories.
2. Drive Sales Growth & Account Performance
- Plan a calling cycle based on their customer base and the travel schedule of outside partners.
- Collaborate closely with outside partners to manage territories and achieve budget goals, supporting various sales initiatives by using reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Make 15–20 outbound calls and 20-40 inbound calls per day to customers in alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), leveraging knowledge of products and techniques used in dental offices.
- Apply the sales process consistently on all outbound and inbound calls, aiming to convert each client into a strong account by increasing product usage in their office.
- Grow sales by understanding existing product users in the territory and identifying opportunities to expand accounts across different product categories.
3. Educate Customers on Products, Techniques & Services
- Commit to continuous education and self-learning to stay current in the field.
- Understand and learn techniques used in clients' offices to ensure correct product usage.
- Educate clients on clinical techniques for all products or direct them to available resources.
- Attend local education courses and trade shows alongside regional sales representatives.
4. Utilize Technology & Systems Effectively
- Use various computer programs for order entry, including Microsoft Business Central, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet browsing for daily sales tasks.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency with technology and effective time management to fulfill all role responsibilities.
- Maintain a private and professional workspace to conduct frequent customer conversations daily.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably within a sales or call-center environment
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Strong computer proficiency with excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Highly effective time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple accounts
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and accountable for performance outcomes
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and ethical decision-making; leads by example
- Bilingual in French considered a strong asset
- Dental industry experience considered an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
