Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Bespoke Tailor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about couture-level craftsmanship, understands the artistry behind designing, and delivers exceptional client experiences. You will work closely with the Creative Director to bring custom garments to life—from initial consultations to final fittings.

Duties

  • Conduct detailed body measurements and maintain accurate client sizing records to ensure precision in fit and design.
  • Develop custom garment patterns from scratch based on client specifications, fabric selection, and design sketches.
  • Cut, assemble, and construct bespoke garments using advanced tailoring techniques, ensuring flawless craftsmanship and finish.
  • Perform multiple fittings with clients, adjusting patterns and garments to achieve perfect fit, structure, and silhouette.
  • Hand-finish garments including hemming, beading, appliqué work, lace placement, and other couture finishing details.
  • Modify or alter existing garments to enhance fit, update style, or repurpose items as required.
  • Collaborate with the designer to interpret sketches and produce high-quality prototypes and final garments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe studio workspace, ensuring proper care and storage of fabrics, tools, and equipment.
  • Manage production timelines to deliver completed garments within agreed deadlines, especially for weddings and special events.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining professional communication and building strong client relationships.
  • Ensure quality control at every stage of the garment-making process to uphold the brand's premium standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tailoring experience (couture experience is an asset).
  • Strong pattern-making and garment construction skills.
  • Experience working with different fabrics and prints is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to interpret sketches and bring design concepts to life.
  • Excellent hand-sewing and finishing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, precision, and time management.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$22.00 per hour
