Shawville Blvd SE Calgary Canada TY Z Canada Wagepoint Full time

Who We Are:

At Wagepoint, we're good people. Sure, maybe we're biased. But that's only because Wagepointers bring the best versions of ourselves to do some of the best work in our careers.

We're an authentic team who bring our diverse backgrounds, ideas, experiences and cultures together to make payroll magic. Speaking of, we "pull rabbits out of hats" for thousands of small business owners across Canada who rely on our payroll software to pay their employees and process their payroll taxes. And we're just getting started.

We're growing and looking for more awesome people to join our merry band of misfits. We are looking for people who share our understanding that when it comes to our commitment to our customers: we mean business. Especially given that the consequences of getting payroll wrong can sometimes be dire.

If you are the kind of person who has always wanted to make a difference and be heard at work, Wagepoint will give you plenty of opportunity to do just that.

The Role at High Level:

We're looking for a seasoned and strategic Director of Partner Services to build, lead, and scale Wagepoint's Partner Services function. This role owns the partner services experience across the partner lifecycle, ensuring partners can successfully operate on Wagepoint with confidence.

Over the next 12 months, this role will be heavily focused on leading and executing the migration of all Wagepoint partners to the latest version of the platform. Success requires strong program and project management discipline — coordinating cross-functional teams, sequencing work, managing dependencies, mitigating risk, and delivering migrations smoothly with minimal disruption.

You'll lead a team of Partner Consultants and work closely with Partner Sales, Product, Customer Ops, Compliance, and Support to translate executive-level partner and revenue goals into clear operational plans and consistent execution.

You will report directly to the VP of Sales.

What You'll Be Expected To Own:

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Partner Services team through coaching, feedback, and performance management.

  • Own the end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale partner migrations, including sequencing, dependency management, and risk mitigation.

  • Translate company-level partner and revenue goals into clear operational plans, priorities, and measurable outcomes.

  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, Customer Ops, Compliance, and Support to deliver a coordinated partner services experience.

  • Establish scalable processes, playbooks, and service standards that enable consistent, high-quality execution.

  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex partner situations and high-impact initiatives.

  • Use data to monitor progress, identify risks early, and drive continuous improvement across Partner Services.

  • Ensure partners are clearly supported through periods of change by communicating expectations, timelines, and impacts.

What You Bring To The Table:

  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:

    • Partner-facing SaaS roles focused on implementations, onboarding, or services delivery

    • Accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or adjacent small business services environments

  • 2–3+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and developing individual contributors to consistently deliver outcomes

  • Proven experience designing, improving, and scaling service or implementation systems — including processes, tooling, and cross-functional workflows

  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives such as platform transitions, migrations, or large-scale onboarding programs

  • Strong understanding of how small businesses operate, with the ability to translate complexity into clear, practical plans

  • Ability to build or deepen fluency in Canadian payroll compliance and regulatory requirements quickly, with support from subject-matter experts on the team

  • A hands-on, ownership-driven leadership style, with the ambition and capability to grow into a broader, next-level leadership role

Bonus points if:

  • You've led partner services, implementations, or post-sale delivery teams at scale.

  • You've built repeatable service models and operational playbooks.

  • You've worked closely with accounting or bookkeeping partner ecosystems.

  • You're comfortable leading teams through large-scale change.

  • You've worked in a fully remote, distributed team environment.

What We Bring To The Table:

Impact: Roll up your sleeves and directly contribute to the growth and success of Wagepoint by shaping our workforce.

Culture: The opportunity to work with the world's friendliest team, solving interesting problems together with an endless amount of laughter (We work hard, but we always have time for a bad joke or two).

Growth: Opportunities for professional development and career advancement - we are always, always learning with a growth oriented mindset.

Innovation: Work in an environment that encourages creativity and new ideas.

Remote: The ability to work from home, forever Wagepoint is a remote company, so you don't have to worry about commuting to an office. Plus, more time with your pets is always a bonus
