We are a 35-year-old boutique law firm in Vaughan representing Canadian Financial Institutions. We seek a Civil Litigation Law Clerk who wants to grow with the firm. We offer a collegial work environment, full health benefits and on-site parking.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of Litigation Law Clerk experience Required.
  • Experience in mortgage enforcement considered a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Experience in legal drafting.
  • Excellent proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

This Law Clerk position is ideal for individuals eager to develop their legal skills while contributing to a supportive team environment

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and preparing correspondence and legal documents, including demand letters, Notices of Sales, Statement of Claims and Sheriff possession proceedings.
  • Organize, maintain, and accurately file matter-related documentation.
  • Actively manage deadlines and work closely with Senior Partners.
  • Provide administrative support which includes (but is not limited to) completing file opening forms, photocopying, scanning and filing
